Olivia has been involved in the sport of Taekwondo since early 2002. She displayed an instant love for the sport.
Olivia participated in her first State Competition in August 2003 as well as the National Competition held in October 2003 in Queensland.
In November 2004 Olivia achieved her Black Belt 1st Dan.
Olivia has continued to compete at both State and National levels and has recently achieved both her C class Referee's Qualification and National Coaching Accreditation level 1. These qualifications provide her with valuable skills when working with students of all ages and levels.
In April 2007 Olivia competed in the Victorian Junior Poomse Open and received a Bronze medal which then qualified her to compete in the selections for the World Poomse Championships to be held in Korea.
In June 2007 Olivia achieved her Black Belt 2nd Dan, and in July 2007 competed in the I.T.C.O. International Taekwondo tournament in Perth. Later in 2007 Olivia competed in the State Qualifier for the National Competition and is currently the State Champion in her division.
In May 2008 Olivia competed in the Tans Open Tournament in Queensland and received a Bronze medal in her Sparring division and a Gold medal in her Poomse division.
In June 2008 Olivia travelled to Korea as part of the Australian Team to compete in the World Culture Taekwondo Expo and received a Silver medal in Poomse.
In August 2008 Olivia competed in the State challenge for Poomse and received a Gold Medal which retains her title of State Champion for the second year running and also qualifies her to compete at the upcoming National championships to be held in Sydney, September 2008.
